Civil liability for accident at work
According to law the employer has an obligation to ensure the health and safety at work of his/her employees.
When you have an accident at work you have to think not only in the temporal incapacity but also the future consequences, as the accident may have caused damage or consequences that result in a reduction of future performance and therefore have to be subject to compensation.
When an accident while working is suffered it must be taken into consideration that in addition to the right to compensation or pension from the Social Security, the worker is entitled to be indemnified by the company he works for, for the damages suffered.
If you have suffered an accident at your workplace and this has been due to the lack of security measures implemented by the employer, you are entitled to compensation in addition to providing appropriate social security pension/compensation.
Normally the employer has a liability insurance covering damages that occur in these cases.
